The cost of raising a neurotypical child is $290,000.00.

The cost of raising a child with autism is $3,200,000.00

If we take both figures and divide them by 18 years then we will get the average yearly cost of raising each child.

Average yearly cost of raising a neurotypical child is $16,111.11.

Average yearly cost of raising a child with autism is $177,777.77.

It seems that people forget about people with autism as they become adults.  The price difference that I have to pay to live with autism didn’t go away when I was 18.  It cost me $161,666.66 more per year to live in the same world that it does a neurotypical person.  I cannot afford this:(

It isn’t fair. I live on $716.00 per month in social security how am I supposed to be able to afford $14,814.81 per month which is what $177,777.77 divided by 12 (months in a year) comes out to be.  I have tried working with no success because I end up paying people money I work with just to talk to me or like me.  It isn’t fair.  It isn’t my fault I have autism so why do I have to pay more money just to fit in and make friends and if I do where am I supposed to get this money from?

There are celebrities out there making 5 to 10 million dollars per year and I am trying to make it on $716.00 per month because of this autism.  I want to be able to go to school and have careers like they do but I can’t.  It just isn’t fair. All I want is friends and I have to pay an extra $161,666.66 per year just to make friends and feel love or find happiness.  My question is where am I supposed to get this money?

Celebrities making millions per year could afford to help I think. I am asking them to have a heart and help by giving me money to be able to make friends. If someone is making $5 million dollars per year why couldn’t they afford to give someone with autism $50,000.00 so they could pay someone to be their friend for 1 year.  It seems unfair and it hurts because no one will help:(  All I want is to be able to go out with people and have a good time just like anyone else does but in order to do that I have to pay someone to hangout with me.  I can’t help it I have autism but I am just asking for someone to open their heart and help give me money so I can make friends or be loved. 

It is very unfair to me that it cost me so much more money to have friends or to be able to find a girlfriend or experience love but yet I am only getting a measely $716.00 per month from disability income.  All I want is friends and I wish celebrities would help me.
