Stress is completely a new age phenomenon. The needs of the Stone Age man were only hunting for food and escaping against animals. His situation was not as complicated as the modern man. When Science and technology has developed stress have been accumulated to the maximum level. The needs of the man increased and his desires multiplied enormously. All our wishes and desires have lead us to this stressful situation, whether you believe it or not. The modern man can be definitely called a stressful person.
Many people think that the outward surroundings generate stress. But that is not true. Stress management is not something alien to us. It is not and outward phenomenon. The change should happen within ourselves. Only we could change the stress in our mind and lead a peaceful life. The initiative should come from within ourselves. Not any stress guru can help us to alleviate stress.
There are many types of stress like work related stress, family stress. We might have seen a lot of persons who have more problems than us living peacefully and happily. The problem lies within our mental attitude. If that is changed every single thing in your life will be at the perfect place.
The best thing that we can do is to enjoy the moment. Live each day happily. This is the most difficult part of stress management. Shelly the great poet himself has said, “We look before and after and pine for what is not”. The great poet himself has turned into a prophet by psychologically analyzing the human stress. This has been the nature of human mind for centuries. All of us are worried about the past and future. As a result what happens is we forget to live in the present. The day when we live in the present all our stress gets dissipated.
Now the question arises how we can live in the present through stress management. There are many stress management techniques which help us to live in the present moment. The best one is to do yoga and meditation. It will definitely make us relax. It will help us to live life to the fullest. It will help us not just alleviate our stress, but eradicate the stress from our whole life. Every day when you go to bed try not to think about works pending or other work related problems. Sleep as if this is the last day in the universe. All the stress will eradicated within a moment. Take a second to look at the beautiful sceneries around you. Even a little child’s mind can give you happiness if you have the time to look at those God’s gifts- children who are angels in our world of turmoil.
