How depression feels.
The symptoms of depression can be complex and hard to understand. Being depressed is more than just feeling down, and can include psychological and physical symptoms. The symptoms of depression can get in the way of the everyday activities of normal life. Depression is often linked to anxiety.
The emotional symptoms of depression:
- Feelings of hopelessness
- Feeling helpless
- Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
- Tearful
- Feelings of guilt
- Feeling irritable and intolerant of others around you including family and friends
- Lack of motivation
- Indecisive
- Lack of enjoyment in activities you’d previously liked
- Suicidal thoughts
- Thoughts of harming yourself or others
- Feeling anxious or worried
- Reduced sex drive

Good information. I am all too familiar with the symptoms of depression.
Fortunately, I am treating it instead of just living with it like I have in the past.
