Five ways of dealing with stress.

Nowadays everybody has a problem called stress and usually nobody knows how to calm themselves down and release the stress we keep bottled up. Whether it be stress from school, work or money issues we all get it and need ways and dealing with it. Here are 5 ways people have suggested you try, to help you release some of that stress.

1) Talk about it

Use talking to someone you feel comfortable talking to, to help you, anybody such as your partner, a close friend or your mum and dad. Usually getting these problems off your chest helps to see them more objectively.

2) Please yourself

When you feel a little down, go and do something you really enjoy, it could be anything, as long as you enjoy it and you feel happy after, there is nothing that can go wrong.

3) Laugh it off

Laughter is a great healer of stress, whilst laughing you are increasing the oxygen supply to your lungs which stimulates the production of endorphins and can produce feelings of euphoria. Sometimes laughter opens up the gates to tears which are a positive sign to releasing stress.

4) Exercise

Getting rid of that excess energy that generates as stress builds up can work wonders. Try stretching exercises and maybe 20-30 mins of aerobic exercise 2-3 times a week, doing this has been known to lower stress and depression in less than 12 weeks.

5) Say No

Create time for yourself where you can do your own thing, don’t let it escalate into an argument as it will cause you to feel more stressed, just state it calmly and clearly.

If you follow these simple suggestions your bound to feel better in some way. There is no harm in trying.
