Beat the winter blues, with these tips.

If you are a sloth like me in the winter season, and getting up and going is very difficult, you might want to take a look at my list below.
· Go to bed early-being a night owl is fun, but after a while it your body will start to feel the lack of sleep. Going to bed early, or at a reasonable time is easier said than done, but with determination it can be done. Make sure to do your regular chores earlier, so that when you finally get a chance to wind down you will be relaxed and stress free.
My routine is making sure the house straightened, making a cup of tea at 8pm and watching a movie, by the time the movie is over, it is close to 10pm. Then off to bed I go.
· Stay up- if you wake up the next day, wanting to stay in your warm soft bed, while outside it is blistering cold, stay up. This is one of the hardest things to do for us sloths, but you have to understand that your bed needs some rest too. Find things to do in the morning that will keep you occupied, if there is nothing to do, then exercise. Just do something!
What I do once I grumpily drag my butt out of bed is open all the curtains, to let the sun in. Take a long hot shower, make a cup of tea, while that is being warmed in the mic, I start a load of laundry, take out the trash, and then turn on my laptop. I avoid my bedroom and sit at my desk, with my warm cup of tea, and my laptop, feeling awake and making sure to keep busy around the house.
· Eat healthy- eating healthy, and taking your vitamins will boost your immune system and also make you feel much better, and with the blend of an occasional work out, you will be feeling positive and motivated to beat the winter blues.
· Stick to it- Stick to your routine to stay active, and upbeat through this season, slacking will just get you right back to square one. One you have this routine fixed, next year’s winter will be much easier to handle.
Starting this will be very difficult, and trust me I know it is, I moved to NY from FL and each year I do not look forward to winter, but I have fought through my blues, and so can you. If you would like more tips and help, please don’t be shy to message me.
