10 Dangerous Things About Soy
Most people remain unaware that soy is known to contain an array of potent chemical toxins.
We think that soy is a great substitute for milk, but in my research I found that not to be true.
I am a mother of two and my second baby had to be switched to soy milk formula, ok I though this was the
best option for him but I was wrong. Studies has it that soy is not so safe for us as we may think.
Now I was scared but wanted to know why, and this is what I uncovered about soy.
-
Phytoestrogens
Phytoestrogens that disrupt endocrine function and are potent antithyroid agents are present in vast quantities in soy, including the potentially devastating isoflavone Genistein. Infants exclusively fed soy-based formula have 13,000 to 22,000 times more estrogen compounds in their blood than babies fed milk-based formula, the estrogenic equivalent of at least five birth control pills per day. Premature development of girls has been linked to the use of soy formula, as has the underdevelopment of males. Infant soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease
-
Phytic Acid
High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow cooking. High phytate diets have caused growth problems in children.
-
Trypsin
Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic orders. In test animals soy containing trypsin inhibitors caused stunted growth.
-
Antithyroid Agents
Soy phytoestrogens are potent antithyroid agents that cause hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer. In infants, consumption of soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease.
-
Vitamin B12 Analogs
Vitamin B12 analogs in soy are not absorbed and actually increase the bodys requirement for B12.
-
Vitamin D
Soy foods increase the bodys requirement for vitamin D.
-
Fragile Proteins
Fragile proteins are denatured during high temperature processing to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein.
-
Toxic Lysinoalanine & Carcinogenic Nitrosamines
Processing of soy protein results in the formation of toxic lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines.
-
Neurotoxin
Free glutamic acid or MSG, a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy food processing and added to many soy foods.
-
Aluminum
Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum which is toxic to the nervous system and the kidneys.
These are just a few of dangers about soy, but there are more. Now I am not a medical doctor so just read and take in what you read, and next time you visit your doctor just ask about these dangers. That’s only if you have consumed soy products. As for my son he is
10 months old with no teeth yet and that bothers me. I am very upset about this because this is serious. So I am doing all that I can to spread the word, because we need to know what we put in our bodies. They want us to be healthy but the things we consume and think that is healthy is contain with so many harmful ingredients. You be the judge and tell me, what do you think?
