10 Fast Foods with The Most Sodium

Fast food is usually high in sodium which leads to high blood pressure and can ultimately cause a stroke if the intake is not properly regulated. Not all fast food is high in sodium, but there are some that have extremely high levels. Here are 10 fast foods that rise above the rest in terms of sodium content.

Carls Jr Six Dollar Western Bacon Burger – 2520mg

The recommended daily sodium intake for sodium is 2400mg. One of these burgers exceeds that total without adding French fries. The Western Bacon burger has meat, cheese, bacon. Onion rings, and BBQ sauce – all the ingredients for an unhealthy burger.

The bread pasta bowls are one of Dominoes alternative meals to their pizza line. Unfortunately, none of them are healthy alternatives. All of them are high in sodium, but the mac n cheese one stands above the rest.

All of the KFC bowls are high in sodium, but the Mashed Potato Bowl tops them all. Mashed potatoes, chicken, and cheese all together in one bowl is not a good idea for your health.

Schlotzky’s Deluxe Sandwich  medium – 4082mg

I saved the worst for last. It is hard to believe that a sandwich shop would have an item with more sodium that the worst hamburgers, but Schlotzky’s did it. The menu says that it has double the meat as the original with smoked ham, Genoa and cotto salamis, cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan layered with mustard, black olives, red onion, lettuce and tomato on toasted Sourdough bread. The nutrition chart on their website says that it contains 170% of daily recommended sodium. Don’t say that you haven’t been warned.
