Apples
Extolling the virtues of the apple.
The Apple through history has many stories to tell of its varied applications and uses. Apples, one of my favorite fruit brought about an unsatisfied curiosity until I began to research the many items for which they were used They nourish the body, clean the teeth, and pectin from the apple has long been used for making jellies.
Apples once had the reputation of creating immortality. They were also believed to bestow on the eater virtue, and wisdom. People actually believed that apples refreshed the spirit by their taste and perfume.
The apple was considered beneficial to subtlety of thought. They gave the eater a stronger mental agility. The apples most interesting feature, however was its ability to perfect diction for ideas.
Accused of being the perpetrator of the greatest sin on earth in Eden. The lowly apple became the most researched fruit from the dawn of creation to this very day.
Make you want to run out to the nearest orchard? Allow me to make a few recommendations.
- The best apple for eating: Figi.
- The best for baking: Granny Smith.
- The best for aroma: Red Delicious.
Experiment with apples and receive the gifts of Immortality, wisdom, virtue, subtlety of thought, perfect diction for ideas, good health, and a refreshed spirit.

When I was growing up we had a local variety of apple called ‘The Winesap’, it was delicious. The problem with buying foreign fruit is it decreases variety.

I love apples; I know they’re good for you. I don’t think I’ve ever tried the Figi. I guess I don’t know as much as I thought I did about apples. Thank you.
