Chemical vs. Organic: Part Two
Eating Organic – not so easy.
On August 20, 2009, I said I was making the switch from chemical induced food to organic. I think I did well for about a week. Then, I found myself faltering off. It’s not as easy to make the switch as one might think. There are quite a few hinderances out there; hinderances that almost prevent you from making a full switch.
Chemical Induced Food is:
- Convenient
- Everywhere
- Inexpensive
- Everywhere
- Full of sugar
- Everywhere
- Full of corn syrup
Organic food is:
- Not conveniently found
- Expensive
- Promises not to contain chemicals
- Expensive
- Healthy
- Expensive
So, I have been on and off of the organic eating. I went to a couple of restaurants a few times. I ate fast food a couple of times; I also ate the ever-so convenient frozen dinners. It’s so easy to find the “bad” food because if you don’t prepare ahead of time, you fall. But not to worry, I am trying again. Stay tuned.
