Diet Soda 2
These are about artificial colors and the damage they cause to our bodies.

Here is the second part of my Research on Diet Soda. This part is about Caramel Color and Artificial Coloring. It is said that some of the side effects of Artificial Coloring are headaches, vomitting, asthma, hives, and possibly ADD and ADHD. There are also people who have been known to have allergic reactions to these chemicals. It is also suspected that they may cause cancer.
Yellow Dye is known under the term Tartrazine. This is a coal tar derivitive which is known to cause side effects on the Central Nervous System. Anyone getting freaked out yet? This is pretty scary considering alot of us do drink soda’s and eat foods with these chemicals in them. Anyways, this chemical caused people to have severe reactions. Some of them being Weakness, Palpitations, Hives, Itching, and many other reactions.
There is also a connection between aspirin and tartrazine. The Red No. 3 dye was voluntarily terminated from being used in 1990 because it indicated an association with thyroid tumors in animals. Blue No. 1 and Green No. 3 are both made from Petroleum Triphenylmethanes. These dyes have three aromatic rings attached to a central carbon atom. Blue No. 2 is made from Dissodium Sulfonate. This is a compound called Indigo. Indigo is synthesized by fusing N-Phenylglycine in a mixture of Sodamide, Sodium, and Potassium Hydroxides.
Do we really want to be drinking and eating these products and giving them to our children?

I think you are very easily convinced!
of course air is also toxic , did you know that every person who breaths it dies!!! every single one!

Not only do the diet sodas contain artificial colors, they contain toxic artificial sweeteners as well.
What is the significance of the numbers that go with these dyes, i mean red no.3, blue no. 2 etc?

Thanks for sharing your research. These chemicals are toxic in large doses, and very nasty for those who are allergic. In North America, however, it’s almost as hard to avoid chemicals as it is to stop breathing.

I couldn’t agree with you more Carrie.
I remeber my son had a reaction to the “Blue Smarties” Back in the 1980’s, before they withdrew them. It was a worry when he used to have very bad tantrums (Behaviour problems) after eating those and we had to withdraw those.
I also feel that we have the same problem with alcoholic drink as well as food these days with so many additives for longer shelf life, although when I used to drink I hardly became agressive in those 1970’s, because I went for the real ale and to enjoy myself and although then we had the odd one who wanted to fight everyone, it was nothing to the problem we have in society today.
Well Written Carrie I enjoyed that.
Best Wishes
Tim
