Cabbage belongs to Brassicaceae family and is a green leafy plant like other vegetables of the same family as broccoli, cauliflower and kale. The leafy part of the Cabbage is included in many dishes and cooked or eaten raw.

Cabbage is often used in preparation of vegetable salads and used in the preparations of vegetable soups.

Apart from taste and cuisines Cabbage has many health benefits:

  • Cabbage is a good source of Vitamin K and Vitamin C
  • Cabbage is also rich in fiber and is easily digestible
  • Cabbage also includes minerals such as manganese, calcium and potassium
  • Cabbage is a good source for thiamine, riboflavin and Vitamin A
