Healthy Eating

A Healthy, well balanced diet is important for your figure, skin, hair, teeth- for your whole body.

Do you eat whatever takes your fancy- so long as it’s quick, convenient and filling? Try making a list of everything you eat and drink over the next seven days. Then you can see how well- or how badly- your treating your body.

Vitamins and minerals are essential to many different bodily functions. Vitamin A is found in butter, margarine, oily fish, liver, carrots, spinach and many green vegetables. Your body needs it for growth, good eyesight and healthy skin. Vitamin B is found in yeast, wheat germ, wholemeal bread, cereals, liver, eggs, milk, green vegetables and nuts. Your body needs it for the nervous system, energy and skin. Vitamins C is found in fruit (citrus especially), blackcurrants and fruit of every kind. Your body needs it for resistance to infection, healing, healthy gums and good circulation. Vitamin D is found in oily fish and fish liver oils butter and eggs. Your body needs it for the function of the nerves and muscles.

Water, too is needed for the repair of the body tissues. It also helps to regulate the body’s temperature, and assists in the efficient of wastes. Your body needs at least 3 litres (5 pints) of water a day, some of which will be in the foods you eat.
Try and replace processed food for fresh food remember healthy food is always the better choice, don’t worry it may be hard at first to lay off that chocolate but you will get used to it in no time and when your body clears up, you sleep better and you are starting to get that great figure you’ll see that its worth it there’s no magic trick to losing weight and being healthy just eat healthy and exercise regularly.
