How to Build Up a Strong Immune System to Get Immunity Against Viral & Bactrial Diseases

Swine flu is the major concern and notoriously has acquired the headlines of media’s news. But it is not only the deadly disease that is causing panic, sometimes seasonal flues and other viral or bacterial diseases affect us and they affect us more frequently due to the weak immune system. So what we can do as precautionary measure is to make our own immune system too strong to fight any viral disease. And it is possible only if we make a slight change in our daily routine and diet. Let us see what are the nutrients that can protect our health and how can we get them-
1. Add some more protein to your diet- Protein plays an important role to build up the strong immune system. For vegetarian, milk, curd, cheese, Soya bin and pluses are the good source of protein. These things must be included in our daily diets. Eggs, fish mutton and chickens are also the well known sources of protein so can be taken at least 2 or 3 days in a week.
2. Take enough fruits and vegetables daily- Green vegetables and seasonal fruits are all way better than the fried junk foods. They are the sources of some of the very essential nutrients that we can not get elsewhere. They not only work for the immune system strong but also work for over all health of a person.
3. Omega3 fatty acids- Soya, black gram, almond, fish, fenugreek, millet, flax seeds are the good sources of Omega3 fatty acids. So one can add these things to his/her diet to enhance the body power against diseases.
4. Taking the foods that have Antioxidants- Antioxidants keeps us healthier by defending our health from the viruses that can grow and transit through air. Antioxidants also help in case of mental stress. Vitamin C, Beta Carotene, Vitamin E, Zink and Selenium work as antioxidants.
5. Magnesium the remedy of burning sensation- Magnesium works as tonic for muscles. In case of muscle pull, stretches or damages doctor advice to take those fruits and vegetables that have magnesium. Not only this, Magnesium is also very effective for those who have respiratory problems. Almond, groundnuts, pumpkin and spinach are very rich in magnesium.
6. Spare time for exercise- Besides healthier food, daily exercise, yoga, or Pranayam (breathing exercise) should be a part of daily routine. They help a lot to keep us healthier and fit. As far as Prnayam and yoga are concerned, they must be practiced under the guidance of any expert.
