How to Eat Healthy at Quizno’s
Quizno’s can be a quick and healthy place to get a fast meal. Here’s how to eat healthy at Quizno’s.
When you’re dining on the run, it can be difficult to eat healthy. Although fast food restaurants are taking steps to offer healthier fare, your options are still limited primarily to deep fried sandwiches, burgers, and high fat French fries. Fortunately, some sub chains such as Subway and Quizno’s are making life easier for the health conscious diner by offering lower calorie, lower fat items that are satisfying. Although Subway has been the sub chain credited most often with offering healthy options, Quizno’s has a surprising selection of lower calorie options that taste great. Need some ideas? Here are some tips on how to eat healthy at Quizno’s:
Subs and sandwiches
One of the healthiest options in the sub sandwich category would be the honey bourbon chicken sub which is a caloric bargain at 320 calories. If you ask for it without the dressing and add a little mustard instead, you can save an additional 40 calories. A small Tuscan turkey sub without the cheese and dressing has only 280 calories and a single gram of fat. If sandwiches are more your style, you can’t go wrong with the oven roasted turkey and cheddar sandwich without the cheddar. If you hold the cheddar and add extra veggies, you’ll have a tasty sandwich that clocks in at only 250 calories. If vegetarian is more your style, Quizno’s offers a veggie club. Hold the cheese and dressing and you have an antioxidant rich, 270 calorie sandwich. Another option is to choose a flatbread sandwich such as the Sonoma turkey at 270 calories. These are all tasty options with very reasonable calorie counts. Just resist the urge to add potato chips!
Choose chili and a salad
One light lunch option that’s quite satisfying is a cup of hot, steaming chili and a side salad with fat-free balsamic vinaigrette. Both items together will set you back only 270 calories and you’ll get a serving or two of vegetables, protein, and a healthy dose of fiber. Avoid the innocuous sounding raspberry chipotle dressing which will add an additional eighty calories to your meal. Quizno’s also offers a seasonal soup. This is worth looking into as some of the options are quite healthy.
Watch what you drink
When you’ve done so well picking your food, don’t blow it by adding excessive calories with your beverage choice. Fortunately, Quizno’s offers several almost calorie free drink options including bottled waters, unsweetened ice tea, and coffee. These are far better choices than a sugary soft drink. Plus, you get free refills on the iced tea!
It’s nice to know when you’re in a rush you can pull into a Quizno’s and have a quick and healthy lunch. Be sure to choose wisely.

Actually, we normally go to Subway, but because of their TV commercials we decided to try Quiznos. They are way more expensive than Subway, and we had so much salami on subway that we removed it and had lunch sandwiches for two days after. and soda drinks, I never get them even if they’re free, well, maybe a mouthful of Coke to wash it down.
