How to Help Your Eyesight

Tips on helping your eyesight.

Hi, here are some tips you can do to help your eyesight from going blind.

  • Don’t stare at something long – This can be helped by looking at a far away object for 10 seconds, and then looking at a close object for 10 seconds, repeating this for 10 times, every 10 minutes, also known as the 10’s rule. This helps your eyes from “locking” up which is a condition which your eyes are focused at a fixed location.

This mostly occurs when people spend prolonged times at the computer watching videos, or playing games.

  •  Have a good source of vitamin A – Vitamin A is medically proven to assist in a natural eyesight. However having an extremely well source of vitamin A does not improve eyesight. But not having an extremely well source of vitamin A also means that you will not have the natural ability to see. People who has been diagnosed with a Vitamin A deficiency has also been noted to become more blind in their eyesight. EAT THOSE CARROTS!
  • Play some sports – Playing sports, almost any type of sport such as football, soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, or even simply badminton, will assist your eyesight. Reaction requiring sports exercises your body, as well as your eyes. In sports you are using your eyesight to concentrate on what is happening, and by doing this strengthens your eyes. Having stronger eyes will help you have a better eyesight.

Well there you go! These three tips are very important if you want to keep a healthy eyesight. Of course it takes a lot of will and effort to complete these tips however. I find myself barely playing sports, and having a good source of vitamin A, such as drinking apple juice, or eating carats. Even worse, I rarely follow the 10’s rule, as sometimes I am reminded of how blind I am, so I complete those exercises, but if there is nothing to remind me, that rule is as good as gone. So, don’t be like me(nerdy, geeky, loser, no life, computer 24/7 person, blind person) and follow these rules!
