Milk Additive Ripoff

As odd as it may sound milk isn’t just important for kids. It carries so many necessary vitamins many adults are prone to add it to their nutrition just to survive. Here is an explanation as to why I feel the things added to it rip consumers off.

First of all it must be understood that the bones girls have start to weaken when they reach middle age. That problem is also faced by all them head injury survivors who have to take dilantin for years. That prescription works against bone strength as well.

That basically means a lot of people have to find ways to make their bones keep some strength as they age or just about any accident could happen. The last time a neurologist was spoken to I asked if my Calcium prescription that would help strengthen my bones. Would they become strong enough so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting bucked off one of my mares? She told me it didn’t really. I should eat a lot of fresh green vegetables.

Hunting down the right ones to eat through the Internet let me find out how my wife had some problems as well. It also taught me that when some milk goes with them vegetables my body consumes them better and the bones get stronger faster.

With those bits of information another hard hassle was discovered. Just about all the milk sold in the grocery stores today have had a lot of sugar and other things added to it. The amount of sugar one eats makes a lot of a difference as to how much fat they gain. Sugar acts to quickly turn the food eaten into fat. That’s why high levels of it make people very obese.

This issue hit me so fiercely because my grand father used to own a diary farm. While a child my family always got bottles of fresh milk. It worked and allowed me to become strong enough to do a lot of chores while I hadn’t become a teenager yet. There were even some times when I walked to the milk barn and got a bottle myself. This bit of experience has made me feel that milk is a very important bit of nutrition as one is growing up.

Managing that diary farm just turned out to be taken over by one of my cousins. I went on active duty in the Marine Corps. Unfortunately the military occupational training I earned wasn’t enough to get me a worthwhile job when I got the honorable discharge. I had to get into vocational rehabilitation.

While waiting for full acceptance just about any part time job would keep me fed. That’s why I got a job at one of the milk bottling plants in Albuquerque. It was an old one my grand father had taken me to while I was just a kid. Working in some place that actually bottles milk gives you a lot of product insight.

It let me find out why milk bottles were dated and how it looked when gone bad. That plant would even give away fifty fife gallon barrels of bad milk to any pig farmer that came in. They just had to empty the milk bottles into the bucket unlit it was full or the plant had run out of them. That company would even make some ice cream out of milk that had just gone out dated. Even though all the workers there could grab some ice cream for free several of us declined to eat any.

The one bit of information that has helped me for years is the fact that in any convenience store the milk with their name on it is bottled at the same plant the other milk offered is. One can buy the cheaper bottle because it is the same quality as the name brand beside it.

Unfortunately what I consider to be a major milk problem today got started while I was bottling it. Back in the eighties or so milk companies started mixing in all them additives. That wasn’t good enough for me back then. I remembered some of the diary farmers my grand father had introduced me to and found out one of them had a drive up window along side the milk barn. You just had to bring back the old bottle when you purchased a new one. I could only hassle with buying pure milk for so long and eventually stopped drinking any.

The next time I picked up on milk again was while trying to get back into shape once the hospital released me. That’s when I found out about all the sugar added nowadays. While hitting the gym to lift weights  I wanted my sugar intake to stay as low as possible. That let me find some cheese without sugar in it. Back when I had helped bottle milk it was easy to learn how cheese was made out of it. That’s why I could be a body builder without drinking the modern messed up milk.

In the end I have developed the theory that the large milk companies have added all the sugar just to make milk more addictive to younger folk. It may help them desire drinking milk but that kind of addiction can lead them into more fattening snacks. They would all be better off drinking some that their parents had hand milked from the cow kept in the back yard like their great great grand parents had.
