Broccoli is a member of the cabbage family, If you look closely as the top of the broccoli it looks like a cabbage which is about to sprout.
- Helps in the prevention of cancer. Broccoli has phytonutrients sulforaphane which reuduce the chances of having cancer by deactivating the cells which are likely to cause a tumour. Broccoli can prevent brest, lung, colon, bladder, ovarian and prostate cancer. These are the cancers which have been found out to reduce from the people who have broccoli in thier diet. Scientists have found that 3-5 servings a week (1 serving = 1 cup) can reduce the chances of a tumour developing significantly.
- Helps in detoxification. Broccoli has the ability to cleanse the inside of the body by the help of phytonutrients. Phytonutrients work as antioxidants which catch the free radicals in the body before they form the pimple or any type of defect that can be shown on the skin. - Helps in givnig a boost to the immune system. Because broccoli is rich in vitamin C it gives a tremendous boost to the immune system. Broccoli is even richer in vitaman C than orange.

Here are 7 wonders of broccoli being a miracle cure if you keep it in your diet. If you read other articles they would say to cook or steam your broccoli, I would suggest to eat it raw after washing it because after cooking food most of the enzymes get denatured. After the enzymes reach a certain temperature they die out and thus you wont get any benefit out of the broccoli you eat. It would be hard to swallow and the taste could be awful but youll grow into it and start loving it.
