Staying Sharp and Focused at Work
Stress and tension at the work environment can be relieved with several simple steps. Eating at specific time must not be underestimated since it can either give us additional strength that we need or the opposite – make us lethargic and incapable of doing our job.

Stress and tension at the work environment can be relieved with several simple steps. Eating at specific time must not be underestimated since it can either give us additional strength that we need or the opposite – make us lethargic and incapable of doing our job.
By default the healthy food lacks at the work spot. We usually eat a lot, later than necessary or we consume the so called junk foods. As a result our working abilities and concentration decrease significantly, especially in the early afternoon.
What experts recommend is that we eat optimally five times a day.
Even if our job requires light physical exercise and endeavor, our body would need specific nutrition substances in order to deal with fatigue. What is important here is not only the foods we choose to consume, but also the way we distribute these foods throughout the day.
Eating small quantities of food five or six times a day is better than eating a lot of food three times a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The small portions unload the digestive tract and regularly supply the organism the nutrients it needs. Thus our tonus keeps high the whole time. Besides this way we will certainly avoid lack of concentration and starvation. The good and regular eating habits will allow us to remain sharp, focused and capable of working throughout the day.
The most appropriate foods contain salads, fruits and vegetables because they provide us with the necessary vitamins and minerals. The daily consumption of milk and milk products secures our organism’s daily needs for Calcium. Bread and cereal products supply our systems with enough proteins and fiber.
If it’s possible, the foods containing fats must be reduced, as well as caution to be taken in mind while consuming cakes, candies, sausages and cheese, since they also contain many hidden fats.
We should also avoid consuming too salty products since the salt tends to increase the blood pressure which may result in various unpleasant or even dangerous conditions.
Drinking a glass of mineral water often is healthy and refreshing. It can be complemented with tap water, vegetable and fruit juices in some mild quantities (bewaring of the sugars in them when they’re reconstituted) or unlimited quantities of freshly squeezed juices, herbal or fruit teas, because the recommended total quantity of fluids per day is minimum 2 liters.
