The Banana is a Camouflage Fruit
The banana is a delicately deceptive fruit that packs a powerfully protective punch.
Most consumers encountered their first banana when they were children. This boomerang shaped fruit looked more like a colorful toy than a tasty treat. Bananas weren’t the most popularly promoted fruit in the house. It took third spot behind the orange and apple. After all, the orange and apple have their own juices. The banana just stood by envying those two. At one time the banana was as popular for slip and falls as ice on a snowy day. However, lets consider the uniqueness of the banana.
Consider that the banana starts out in a green suit and over time it changes into yellow. If the banana over stays its welcome the suit will turn brown from too much sugar. The banana is not a hard fruit to enjoy. Its skin is easy to peel and the fruit is satisfying to the mouth when chewing. More importantly, the banana contains an ingredient that we all need in our diets. Potassium is what bananas provide us with to balance the sodium in our bodies. So, there, take that orange and apple. Who would have thought that a fruit so soft could be so powerful? And its price is so economical to the pocket. Don’t forget that the banana can be made into ice cream, dipped in chocolate and frozen, and blended with other fruit to create a smoothie. The versatility of this fruit makes for endless recipes.
So the next time you find yourself at the grocery store, grab a bunch of bananas. Eat and prepare them in any fashion that you desire. But, by all means, please discard the skin in the closest trash receptacle.

It’s just a pity that right now due to ‘circumstances’ bananas are anywhere from 12.99 a kilogram… except in the state of the devastation where they were are in abundance and only 1.25 a kilogram. Strange days indeed.
