The Wonders of Fruit: Apples

Information on apples that many people may not have known anything about.

Did You Hear?

The term “Adam’s Apple” refers to the small ball-shaped figure just under the skin of a man’s neck comes from a myth based off of the Bible’s story of origin?  The myth states that when Adam ate a fruit (according to the myth, the fruit was to be an apple) from the forbidden tree, a piece of it got stuck in his throat, making up what we now know as the Adam’s Apple!

The apple is known and also refered to by most people on Earth as the base, or original, fruit of the land.  If you were to ask someone to name a fruit as quickly as possible, chances are that if that individual follows the directions and is no thinking of any other fruit at the time, he/she will shout out almost immediately “APPLE!”

Did You Know?

Both Roman and Greek mythology are believed to have thought of apples as two of the higher valued symbols in the eyes of society on human life…  Beauty and love.

The Apple Fruit is known to contain certain specific vitamins such as Vitamin C., potassium, iron, and more.  However, when compared to Oranges, the Vitamin C. in an apple would be a lesser, inferior ammount.

Healthwise

Many people are already aware of the fact that apples are a healthy fruit, and therefore do an excellent job of aiding in the balancing of a day’s meals as far as nutrition is concerned.  Also, the quote “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is quite popular, but does anyone know how exactly the apple does this?  Apples have many minerals in them that make them very well capable of helping to regulate the intestines of the human body.  Apples also serve as a good treatment assistant for eye problems, headaches, kidneys, acid reflex, heart problems, and also increase in your overall vitality.

Colors Matter
