Vitamin B-3: Niacin
B vitamins can do more for your health than most people understand. Cholesterol and Triglycerides can be controlled.
The B vitamins are powerhouses for good health. They boost the human immune system, enhance the cardiovascular system, and they are great for peoples’ moods. By choice, your B vitamin supplements can be either in the Vitamin B Complex unit or select your vitamin Bs by name for known health corrections such as using Niacin to improve cholesterol. But if you want to target specific benefits, the correct make up of the vitamin B is crucial, and you need to stay on top of your information as well as the vitamin itself.
There are multiple formulations of Niacin, B-3. Niacin, in high doses can cause people to Flush so several types of niacin have been developed to eliminate the Flush. Flushing is not harmful, but it can be annoying. Niacin in its natural chemical make-up works well in reducing overall cholesterol with increased HDL, good cholesterol. If you are like me, I am ready to save a buck for my needs. Anybody wanting to improve his or her physical health may need some tutoring. Your health is your most important asset. Your pocket book will be affected should you loose control of your health.
Your body processes cholesterol, and blood fats when you are asleep. Taking large dosages of Niacin before going to bed is beneficial in this process. How to reduce the flush is important to most people. The advantages of taking Natural Niacin in high doses at night are your body’s processes, and your not noticing the flush when sleeping. You should have a healthy meal immediately before taking Pure Niacin. A light dose of Aspirin (Baby Aspirin) just before the Niacin will help quell the flush too.
No Flush or Flush Free Niacin is available in a few forms. Inositol Hexanicotinate is perhaps the most used. It is a very good form of Niacin. People don’t feel a flush with this one. When all the studies are tabulated, it comes in a close second place in regards to lipids, and cholesterol benefits, but the Natural Pure Niacin is superior in processing cholesterol, and it has almost zero side effects on your liver, and muscles.
Other forms of Niacin like Niacin SR (“Sustain Release”) in high doses show more affects on a person’s liver. Over the counter Niacin is fine, but if the Niacin formulation isn’t mentioned you may not get the Niacin best for you. Doctors use a liver function test to track side effects with high dose treatments for cholesterol. Doctor’s prescribe Niacin ER (“Extended Release”) for this treatment in people with high cholesterol levels. It has no flush with fewer negative effects on people’s liver, but it is a dollar per 1000mg dose.
What doses are used for cholesterol treatments? In a medical school journal, doses from 1000mg to 2450mg have been used. Niacin doses above 2450mg didn’t show further improvements in people tested.
Because side effects can occur, consult your doctor before taking a leap into self-treatments of high dose Niacin.
Thiamine is good for lipids too. If you try Niacin to reduce your Cholesterol, then use Thiamine supplement in conjunction with the Niacin. Thiamine doesn’t have to be a super dose. When your body processes its cholesterol, and lipids you will find more improvement in your triglycerides too. Thiamine is B-1.
