Why Do We Need Protein?

Protein forms an essential part of our diet, without we would be in bad health.

Protein is a major part of some vital organs and body parts.

The body parts that are based on protein are:

- muscles

- skin

- brain cells

Each person needs a different amount of protein depending on their and age, weight, and gender. The sources of protein come from many different variety of foods, including, meat, chicken, fish, and nuts.

What is protein?

Protein is made up off amino acids, that are a chain. Protein can contain from 50 up to thousands of amino acids chained together. There are two types of amino acids, unessential which is supplied by the body and the other which is made by food hence why you have to eat protein full food.

This is why protein is an essential part to our diet and if not eaten you can develop protein deficiency which is bad.

  2. New here, but I must say, I gave up meat, yet eat a high prtein diet. I’ve never felt healthier (I’ve always been athletic but this was the kick I needed). Great post!
