Wonderful Berries Do More Than Just Taste Good They Prevent Illnesses

From cranberries to raspberries and all the berries in between. These berries do more for the body they prevent illness, obesity and aging. Here are few listed and how they are good for the body to heal itself.
(A) Bilberries: These are close relative to the blueberries. These berries are filled with flavonoid complex that speeds the regeneration of rods in the eye needed for night vision. Bilberries can prevent or reverse night blindness and even stop cataracts and maculardegeneration. These berries are available at grocery stores, or you can get them in liquid form from the health food stores.
(B) Blackberries: These berries have a high tannin content and natural antibacterial properties. Blackberries help soothe upset stomachs and cure intestinal problems. Blackberry juice can help control nausea in chemotherapy patients. They are the best food sources of vitamin E which helps fight infections.
(C) Blueberries: A cup of blueberries a day improves memory, motor skills, and coordination. Blueberries contain a special compound that fortify nerve cells and prevent gradual age related nerve damage in the body.
(D) Boysenberries: These berries contain that stave off Alzheimer disease. The credit goes to their high level of anthocyanins, antioxidants that protect brain cells against damage from free radicals. While they are often sold fresh at supermarkets and farm stands out west, you can usually find them frozen at stores nationwide and in jams, syrups, and even in wines.
(E) Cranberries: These berries act like Teflon for teeth, preventing bacteria that causes cavities from attaching to tooth enamel. A handful of unsweetened dried cranberries a day will do the trick. Cranberries also have 5 times the amount of antioxidant as broccoli.
(F) Raspberries: A chemical found in raspberries called ketone melts fat by increasing the enzymes that break down fat molecules. They are also packed with more fiber than almost any other food including most cereals. 1 cup has just 60 calories.
(G) Strawberries: These berries contain specific cancer fighting nutrients called ellagitannins that protect cells from cancer triggers like tobacco smoke and pollution. Strawberries were found to be the number one cancer fighting food. People who ate a handful each day saw their risk of cancer drop an amazing 300%.
Note: When choosing berries look for the deep, dark colors when shopping. The darker the berry is the more antioxidants it has.
