Bean: Nitrogen-fixing Legume
Beans are the fruits of many different plants and in many cases the plants themselves are called beans. In Europe and America, the common garden bean with its many varieties is in cultivation. This plant is a tender annual, probably originally native of South America and grows either as a low bush or as a twiner.
