Mental Illness
Mental illness can affect anyone, this short intro is for anyone who wants to explore mental illness. This week I’ll be tackling the issue of paranoia.
So mental illness, what makes a person mentally ill? It can be a number of factors. Imagining things, voices, people which aren’t there. Imagining that people can read your mind. Imaging that people are out to get you, in other words paranoia. For this essay I’m going to focus on just that, paranoia.
So why are people who have mental illness sometimes paranoid? It may be because they have taken LSD. This is often a large contributing factor in many cases of paranoia. The person may also have been bullied which adds to the feeling that people are trying to harm them.
And how can paranoia be solved? Often the best way is through counselling and trying to get to the heart of the matter. Prescription drugs can also remedy paranoia and its effects. Staying away from LSD can also help.
