Dieting

A low-down on things which will help dieting.

Dieting has become a need of almost every individual in the developing or developed country. Incorporation of diet plans is hardly not a resolution for the new year. But what happens? The plan never stays the same. It changes due to unplanned visits to Restaurants, unplanned mood swings, unplanned health states, unplanned parties. Hey people, so do you think your plan fails?

No, if you stay focused on what you have to eat. You don’t have to eat raw and tasteless food to stay fit. Yes, you need to redefine your sense of taste and realign your tastebuds with your health. That is possible by way of introducing aroma in your food, eating foods which have naturally good taste. This will avoid addition of external anti-health culprits like sugar, butter, cheese, ghee and oils and excess of salts.

And yes, the feeling of sacrificing something is the biggest mental block preventing you from dieting. Do not have that feeling and never sleep or work empty-stomach. Even in dieting, the stomach should be full but not with empty calories but with nutrients, fibre and feeling of healthful taste.

My food-faves(with no taste-compromise):

  1. Mix fatless curd with food
  2. Drinking of buttermilk before or along food
  3. Finishing off the salads before the main course
  4. Working out extra on days of bingeing.
  5. Eat boiled foods with proper spices.
  6. Avoiding the sight of heavy foods when stressed-out as they tempt the most at times of stress.
  7. Setting a permanent goal of achieving a certain weight as per your BMI and not falling prey to people-set standards of good figure and even grandma’s myths.
  8. Most important is trust on the above and taking tiny steps and not hopping for the jackpot. This will stabilize and make your body accustomed to the plan.
  9. Best postie and identify and stay away or conquer your weak areas.

So friends, Do not worry about the tickling and watering of the tastebuds. Lastly but not the least, water your tastebuds (drink water) whenever they water.
