Physical Symptoms of Depression
The physical side of depression. How to recognise the symptoms.
There are more than just emotional symptoms of depression. There are lots of physical symptoms too:
Headaches
Headaches are very common in people with depression. If you already had migraine headaches, they may become worse if you’re suffering depression.
Back pain
Back pain is likely to get worse if you become depressed.
Muscle aches and joint pain
Depression can make any kind of chronic pain worse.
Chest pain
Chest pain could be a sign of serious heart problems. But chest pain is also associated with depression.
Digestive problems
People with depression often feel queasy or nauseous. They might have diarrhea or become constipated.
Exhaustion and fatigue
No matter how much you sleep, you feel tired or worn out. Getting out of the bed in the morning may seem very hard, even impossible in severe cases.
Sleeping problems
Many people with depression don’t sleep well and suffer with insomnia. They wake up too early or have trouble falling asleep when they go to bed. Others sleep much more than normal.
Change in appetite or weight
Some people with depression lose their appetite and lose weight. Others find they crave certain foods like carbs or sweets and find they put on weight.
Dizziness or lightheadedness
Depressed people often find they feel dizzy and lightheaded often.

I agree with a lot of what is said above.I suffered from chest pains, headaches, weight, fatigue from the job. It’s a serious problem which I don’t believe is taken seriously.
