Substance Abuse
This article brings hope to those caught up in the awful grips and downward spiral of substance abuse.
Legal or illegal substances such as drugs, over the counter drugs or off the neighborhood corner drugs, and alcohol are claiming more lives today than ever before. Many people use these substances as a quick fix to block or cloud their minds from their own grim reality, to compensate for the imperfections in their lives instead of seeking the proper medical attention.
Typically those who abuse substances, one or more of these life situations may exist in their lives: marital problems, financial distress, homelessness, educational drop out, jobless, untreated medical disorder such as depression, attention deficit disorder, bi-polar, anger disorder and the list can go on and on. Many continue to escalate their substance abuse and eventually may even die, because they think that there is no hope for them and their situation. The reality is, there is hope and only the abuser can change their life around.
Before it is too late, one must be in complete acknowledgment that there is a problem and be willing to seek avenues to change their life for the good. Commit to a total life change and fix everything in their life that was an obstacle, keeping them from being a productive and successful human being. People all over this world are changing their lives around right now and as they accomplish this they are gaining support from family, friends and local community organizations, because they want to change and have admitted they have a problem.
If you are reading this and you admit to having a problem with substance abuse, you now know what to do about it. Do something productive with your life, you can do it right now and become successful just like it should be with every human being. Admit that you have a problem and seek help right now before it’s too late – you owe it to yourself and those who love you.

True that the only way these people can be saved is to admit they have a problem. Until they come to that realization, they will continue on a downward spiral.

Falling prey to drug abuse is easier than never before. As pointed out in this article our lives are surrounded with numerous problems that makes these substances dearer for many.

Wonder article Bill! As the wife of a recovering alcoholic I really understand how much of the decision to recover is up to the the person abusing the substance.
