Cinnamon Honey for Weight Loss – Does It Really Work?

Does it really work?

Throughout the Internet and media, there is a huge hype about the new weight loss magic bullet “, honey and cinnamon for weight loss.” But does it really work? Or is it just another fashion? Being a food and nutrition consultant for many years now, I decided to get to the bottom of things! What I found may surprise you.

First, look at what is suggested. The recipe is simple. We must combine a teaspoon of honey to a teaspoon of cinnamon and boil it in a cup of water. It is suggested that you drink half the cup, half an hour before breakfast. And you drink half the cup, a half-hour before going to sleep at night. That’s it!

The claims are just a little more to do, and do not make other changes in your routine and your diet, you can expect to lose 3-5 pounds a week. It is said that honey and cinnamon, actually prevent your body from storing fat!

Unfortunately, practitioners of this “honey and cinnamon for weight loss” idea, do not provide clear scientific explanation as to why it should work.

Here the scientific analysis …

Cinnamon: In fact, cinnamon has the benefits of weight loss. It has already been shown in scientific studies that cinnamon helps reduce bad cholesterol and blood sugar. A reduction in blood sugar contributes to increased insulin levels and thereby preventing the body from fat storage. So we know that cinnamon helps challenge to lose weight.

Honey: There is no doubt that honey is good for health. In fact, people who have tried the “honey and cinnamon” idea, do not say they feel more energetic. This fits perfectly with the fact that honey is a “simple sugar” which is very easy body energy and release process. But the honey has the opposite effect that cinnamon is. It increases the level of sugar in the blood.

So it is not clear from the scientific point of view, how this “honey and cinnamon for weight loss” concept could really work. But there are always people who claim it has helped. Unless a scientific study is done on the subject, drawing conclusions would be unnecessary. So if you want to try, go ahead! If this does not help, it surely will not hurt! But there are better ways and faster to lose weight there.
