Detoxifying Your Body the Gentle Way

Cleansing the inside of your body is just as important as cleansing the outside.

If your energy level is low and you have lots of body aches it just may be time to detoxify your body. Cleansing your body of toxins will help boost your energy level and also clear your brain. When you do a detoxifying routine, you will have clearer skin, healthier body, a much sharper mind and it will also help build a stronger immune system.

Your body stores toxins in your blood, kidneys, lungs and skin. When you go through a detoxify program, you will rid these toxins from your body through these organs in your body.

The first step to reduce toxins is to stop the use of alcohol, coffee, cigarettes and eating high fat foods and processed sugars. These are not only toxins for your body but they also act as a hindrance for letting your body heal itself.

Everyday items around your house can also be toxins to your body. Items such as shampoos, deodorants and household cleansers need to be reduced from being used on a daily basis. These products have chemicals that enter our body when we use them and so we must detoxify our body to eliminate them.

You can choose several ways in which to detoxify yourself. One way is to drink only fresh fruit and vegetable juices. But avoid citrus fruits because of the acidity in their juice. This is one of the simplest ways and is really effective in ridding our body of toxins. Keep in mind that when doing a detoxify with juice drinks, you may have a rapid weight loss occur. You could drop up to 25 to 30 pounds if you do this detoxify for a long period of time. So if you do not want to loose a lot of weight, do not do this program for a long period of time.

Another method of detoxifying your body is to only drink water. Drinking only water will allow your system to rest while eliminating the toxins from your body. By drinking only water, your body will revitalize itself.

If you add whole grains, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruits into your diet your body will start to detoxify itself. Foods that are processed are always high in fats and sugars.

Using a sauna is a wonderful way to remove toxins from your body and relax at the same time. In some salons, you can get a skin brushing. This is a way of detoxifying your body by brushing your skin with a soft brush. This can also be done at home by purchasing a soft vegetable scrubber to use. This is done by lightly brushing your skin in a circular motion starting at your feet and working upwards. Afterwards, take a warm shower to remove the dead skin.

Another relaxing way to rid your body of toxins is the practice of doing yoga. The different yoga positions help to stimulate your organs to discharge the toxins from your body as you go from position to position.

Use these cleansing methods as a guide for yourself to detoxify your body. It is not a requirement for you to do all of these programs every day. But do at least one of them on a regular daily basis for a more healthy body.
