Healthy Ways to Lose Weight and Burn Fat with Weight Watchers

Healthy ways to lose weight, and grow as healthy person during 2010!
Make this year the last year for weight loss resolutions!

The holidays are a wonderful time of the year, filled with cookies, pie, cake, custard, and usually lots of other fattening foods that add inches to the waist line. We have all at some point in time, made new years resolutions to lose weight, to diet, to work out more, to burn burn burn those calories. By February however we have slowly forgotten those resolutions due to busy hectic schedules, and temptation of fattening food that is all around us.

I am a college junior, and trust me all I see all day is fried, greasy food. so this year instead of just accepting the 5 holiday pounds and moving on I decided to make a change!

I’ve been working on it for three full weeks, and have already lost 8+ pounds! the steps are easy, and not too time consuming!

step 1:
Join a program. 
I joined weight watchers, and it is the best money I’ve ever spent. I always try to diet, but by the end of day 1 I’m starving, and drop it really fast. With WW I have been keeping to it. It allows you to enjoy all the food you normally eat, it may be in smaller portions, or maybe instead of exiting a burger, you have fish, but you still eat. And you can eat a lot!!! I get 20 points per day for food, according to their plan, it wonderful. For example this morning I ate a cup of frozen grapes, an English muffin with 1/2 cup of egg beaters and a slice of cheese. it was really filling, and a lot of food, and the grand total: 4 points!! Also its easier to stay on track when you have a plan to follow. And its a healthy way to gradually lose weight. If someone did WW for one year and loss 2 pounds per week you would lose 104 pounds!! that’s pretty incredible!

step 2:
Exercise.
We don’t all have time to go to the gym 2 hours a day, but their are simple ways you can work out, for example, park farther from the store, take the stairs instead of the elevator, ride your bike to class, or work. Use work out videos (easy to follow, and you can do it in your own room). These are simple ways to increase your activity level each day!

step 3:
stay confident.
Stay confident and positive about your weight loss. we don’t gain ten pounds over night, we gain a pound here and a pound there. So why on earth would we lose weight over night… We wouldn’t! Its a gradual process, and it takes time and patience. With the right attitude though anyone can accomplish their goal weight. Just remember how far you’ve come on your weight loss journey! Because even if you get off track for a week, your still ahead of where you started!
