Healthy Weight Management

Brief summary of Weight Management and the elements that can influence rewarding results in weight loss and weight gain.

Because so many factors influence weight loss and weight gain, it is important to identify the leading elements in the weight management cycle. Nutrition, exercise, sleep patterns, work environment, depression, disease, social habits, time constraints and many other factors impact  effective weight management. To narrow the field by recognizing nutrition and diet, exercise, vitamins and supplements and healthy sleep habits as leading influences in weight loss and weight gain, one can begin to understand the importance of balance to produce positive results. Studies have shown that without the inclusion of these important elements, healthy living and controllable weight management are not easily achieved.

In the fast paced society of today, the majority of people are not eating healthy, exercising regularly, or getting the proper amount of sleep. The fact that over 60% of Americans do not exercise on a regular basis and 25% do not exercise at all is reason enough to want to engage in a healthy weight management program. It has been reported that over $24 billion dollars is spent on health care each year to treat disease. The disappointing element in this is that many diseases could have been avoided if health and fitness were part of the equation early on. As a result, the symptoms of the disease are often   treated rather than the cause. The fact of the matter is that the disease might not be in existence if the person had taken better health precautions such as proper nutrition and regular exercise. The most common chronic diseases that can often be avoided or improved upon through exercise and weight management principles include osteoporosis, diabetes, arthritis, hypertension and heart disease, depression, back problems and obesity.

Life is hectic and there are so many outside influences that affect our daily lives, but nevertheless, Healthy Weight Management should be a priority for everyone. By engaging in the four main principles for Weight Management, health would improve, obesity could be reduced, and the quality of life overall would be enhanced. Everyone has the ability to choose the way they live. Why not choose Health and Nutrition through a successful Weight Management Plan?
