How I Lost 30 Pounds in One Month: My “Secret” to Losing Weight

Trying to lose weight and can’t? That was my problem, “at first”. Then I decided to try this one method that worked wonders for my figure, and my health.

For years I struggled with my weight and nothing seemed to work. None of the fad diets kept the weight off. I would lose 10 pounds then gain it back again. It seemed I would never get off this diet roller coaster.

Then one day I was shopping at local grocers and noticed everything that I was putting into my cart. Here’s my list of food items:

  • White Bread
  • Eggs
  • Coke
  • Milk
  • Cheese
  • Hamburger Meat
  • Chicken Meat
  • Uncooked Pasta
  • Regular Butter
  • White Rice
  • Regular Sugar

Get the point?

I decided to cut my shopping list way down. Especially since I just had a baby at 41 years of age and had blown up a hefty 250 pounds. I also want you to know that I have low blood sugar, and hypertension. I have no thyroid and take thyroid pills every day. I was up against all odds for taking this weight off but I was determined not to let this beat me. My normal weight before my thyroid problem stayed around 115-120. Not bad for my 5′7 frame.

I love food, I loved to eat. That was my problem. I wanted it all. I didn’t know how to say no to all those cookies and cakes that I loved to eat. Fried foods and rich gravy. When I was bored, I would eat. When I was tired I would eat. When I watched t.v. I would eat. I ate all the time. I would go over friends and eat at their house. I would go out and eat. I would eat no matter what I was doing, or where I was.

This had to stop. Don’t let the diet industry fool you, it’s NOT that easy to lose the weight the way they want you to. I had to do this my way, and the way that I felt I could. I also smoked so that only added to the problem. I quit smoking the same day I put myself on this “diet.” I have never felt better, having more energy and breathing was easier, food tasted so much better than before.

First of all, don’t be afraid to let your stomach growl once in a while. This doesn’t “hurt” and as far I’m concerned that’s a sign you’re cutting back on your food intake and this is a good sign perhaps.

My grocery list now consisted of these following items and this is it:

  • T.V. Dinners. (Hungry Man)
  • Bottled Spring Water
  • Regular Sugar
  • Coffee (Caffeinated)
  • Tea (Herbal)
  • Frozen Fish (Pre-Cooked, Baked or Raw)
  • Canned or Bagged Greens-Beans (Spinach, Pinto, whatever it is that you’ll eat including corn)
  • Oatmeal (Whole Gain)
  • Salt
  • 2% Milk
  • Eggs (Brown)
  • Cereal (Special K)
  • Pot Pies
  • Ramen Noodles (Any flavor)
  • Oranges-Bananas

Anything In The Frozen Foods Section (That doesn’t contain sugar, meaning meals.. not deserts)

And that’s it. This is what I lived off of for 6 months. I started off slow at first then in the last month my body weight dropped 30 pounds. I am happy, healthier and satisfied with my body image now.

Most people would say this is not a healthy way to lose weight because I lost so much in one month but I ate healthy none the less. I stayed mostly full and ate 4 times a day. But I didn’t stray from this simple plan. I also drank huge amounts of liquid. There is no plan for when to eat, just buy what I have listed and you too should see the weight start to come off.

Do not, I repeat.. do not eat 4 t.v. dinners for one meal. You know this is wrong. Eat for example one pot pie and some veggies. Drink, drink, drink.

I walked. I walked all over the place at first. This helps jump start your system and won’t shock your body like other high aerobic routines do. Don’t get on a tread mill. Go outside and walk. Go around the block, down the street. Go to your mailbox or to the park. Just walk. Clean your house, get off the phone and the computer.

I will be writing more on my progress, as I am still working on myself and my “habits.”

This “diet” worked for me. This is all I can tell you. You have to make the choice yourself. I am just simply telling you how I lost the weight. It’s your choice, it’s totally up to you. I know you can do this. If I can, you can. No excuses. Just do it.
