How to Lose a Double Chin

You can lose a double chin by losing weight, exercising and acupressure. Easy to do exercises and acupressure tips that will help you lose that double chin.

You can lose a double chin and fat on your face with exercise and acupressure. Acupressure will help you release chi blocks so your body functions in a more natural healthy way again. Acupressure massage also helps your body eliminate toxins and regulate metabolism for a healthier you. If you are overweight you should also try to lose excess weight by dieting and exercise and try to have better posture. Many studies have shown that switching to a vegetarian diet keeps pounds off.

Massage the LI 4 point on your hand in the webbing between the thumb and index finger. This point is located on the highest point of the flesh that protrudes when you hold the thumb and index finger together. Then thoroughly massage your hands, face, head, ears, neck and shoulders. Then massage your cheeks, jaw, mouth, chin and neck again.   

Put your thumb under your jaw in the space there and apply firm pressure for at least 60 seconds. This acupressure point is one thumb width behind the tip of the chin under the jaw.

Massage and press the ST 3 point for 60 seconds or more. ST 3 is in on the cheek at the level of the bottom of the nostril under the pupil of the eye.

You could do several sets of these exercises considering a set ten repetitions. Adjust the number of repetitions to your age, weight or physical condition. You should do at least ten repetitions or one set three to five days a week.

Move your jaw up and down five times.

Bring your bottom lip up over your upper lip and hold for five seconds.

Do a sit up.

Sitting or standing upright with good posture turn your face to the right and hold for five seconds. Turn your face back to the front and repeat in the other direction.

Tilt your head back as far as it will go and hold for five seconds.

Tilt your head back and turn your chin toward the ceiling. Purse your lips and push them out as far as they will go and hold for five seconds.

Tilt your head back and turn your head to the right and then to the left.

Tilt your head back and slowly open and close your jaw.

Tilt your head to the side and slowly open and close your jaw.

Lift your tongue up to the roof of your mouth and hold it there for five seconds.

Purse your lips and push them out as far as they’ll go and hold for five seconds.

Move your jaw out to the front as far as it will go and hold for five seconds.

Move your jaw and chin in a circular motion five times to the right and then five times to the left.

Tilt your head back and move your jaw and chin in a circular motion five times to the right and then five times to the left.

Tilt your head back and look up at the ceiling. Keeping your head tilted back turn your head as if to look over your shoulder behind you in a right and then a left direction.

Slowly smile at least three times.

Repeat all of these exercises at least ten times three to five days a week.
