How to Lose Weight
The diet industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. It’s seems simple enough to lose weight you just need to control for two things, diet and exercise. So why do 95% of people fail on diets? Because your subconscious is responsible for as much as 80% of your day to day activity. From breathing and keeping your heart beating, to your emotions and habits. Unless you get this part of your mind working with you, you will never get the results that you desire.
Visualize the results that you don’t want. Using the principals of pain and pleasure you want to create an image in your head of what you don’t want. Because most people will go to greater lengths to avoid pain than to seek pleasure. So if you want to lose weight see yourself eating a hamburger and creating an image of your mind of being fat and made fun of. Begin to associate overeating with pain. Imagine how your life will be if you continue to be overweight and create a feeling of pain to motivate yourself.
Visualize what it is that you do want. To become thin you must visualize the end result and associate it with pleasure. You must imagine yourself exercising and feeling good and enjoying it. Really begin to associate it with a pleasant memory, a time when you felt good about yourself. Imagine your new body, and how light you feel, think about your friends complimenting you on how great you look and how that would feel. Imagine men or women being sexually attracted to the new you and how that affects how you feel about yourself.
Use brain entrainment and biaural beats. Science shows that sounds can affect our emotional states and how our brains function. Ever listen to a song that makes you immediately weepy? Using something called biaural beats, which are alternating sound patterns we can train our brains to be more susceptible to suggestions thus making it easier to change patterns and habits. There is a company called Transparent Corp. that makes a number of products that can help you to retrain your mind so that you get the results that you want. One of them is called the “Neuro Programmer.” This used in conjunction with visualization can be a very powerful tool.
Improve your self-talk with hypnosis. How we think about and talk to ourselves is probably more important than what other people say to us. But sometimes we can be incredibly mean to ourselves. If you want to lose weight focus on a positive affirmation. Something like “I am healthy, thin and energetic.” Using an Mp3 audio hypnosis file can help you to improve your thinking.
