Exercise is no doubt very essential when you are trying to lose weight. Running, jogging, walking, weight lifting etc. are the types of exercises when incorporated in your day-to-day life will prove beneficial in losing weight but you diet is important as well. According to pro bodybuilders your diet is the key to your success and exercise is just the half work done.

But constantly staying on diet regime and punishing your diet with various artificial products and quick ways of losing weight will not be fruitful in long run.

Our body is functional in such a way that it quickly adapts to the changing environment and diet as well. If you stick to a diet with very less calories and no fat, after some time your body will adapt to the diet and you will be limited and not lose weight anymore.

To keep the cycle of weight loss going you will have to plan your diet in a zigzag fashion. What I mean by zigzag is to plan different amount of calories on a different day. For example, if you had a diet plan today that allows you to consume 2000 calories or more after 2 to 3 days change your schedule and consume 1500 calories and keep on rotating this ups and downs of calories as well as food items to trick your body and not let it adapt to your diet plan.
