Losing Weight Dr. Ian Style

Just another diet site? Or More?

With so many cases of obesity in the world today, it’s no wonder that more than a few of us are trying to shape up and live a healthier lifestyle. Losing weight is not easy though. There are so many things to contemplate when trying to decide on a diet. The best way that I have found to stick to my plan is to make gradual changes. For me, I gave up eating junk foods, then slowly incorporated jogging and one meal of salad a day.

Before I knew it, the pounds were falling off almost effortlessly. After moving a way to go to college, the freshman fifteen theory held true. There was a never ending surplus of junk foods screaming my name, and seeing as I had already lost the weight I wanted to lose, I jumped immediately off the wagon. Needless to say I gained a bit of weight, the clothing that I had bought for the year still fits me to this day, though I feel like I could try harder and succeed one again.

Recently I saw a television commercial which was promoting “The 50 Million Pound Challenge,” designed by Doctor Ian K. Smith (the doc on Celebrity Fit Club). The website (www.50millionpounds.com) offers customised meal plans as well as several different diet widgets. Upon sign-up, you are urged to find a State Farm Agent that will give you your free Challenge Kit, which includes a mini pedometer.

There are more benefits than just being able to keep track of your daily activity and blog about how you’re feeling though. The website allows you to form teams, and contact with other members for support. It’s nice to be able to communicate with those having similar struggles.

I have been looking around on the site, and have noticed that I’m a late bloomer for signing up on this dieting website. It has been around since 2008.

  1. It takes will power and determination to succeed. So much of our foods are filled with things that cause us to gain weight. Staying away from processed foods helps. I never weighed more than 100 pounds until I reached the age of 45. Ever since I have fought this weight problem. I use to eat anything any time and never think about it. Now it is a struggle. I do believe a lot of it is in the foods we eat. Good luck.
