Secrets to Weight Loss

For loosing weight to become a reality you don’t have to exercise for an hour a day and eat like a mouse. You just need to be a bit careful at what you put in your mouth. If you think about what you are going to eat first I guarantee you will make a good choice.

On my journey to find the perfect diet I first said no weight lose pills. I am a stickler when it comes to using drugs I know nothing about. To be honest I don’t even like taking aspirin. So I tried to find things that worked without drugs.

First I want to say yes we all are very busy in our lives. There never seems to be enough time in a day to get what you want to get done. With loosing weight you must prioritize. Ya maybe the dishes will sit in the sink for an extra day but exercise is the key to losing weight and keeping it off.

I exercise daily on my stationary bike while watching TV. It is as easy or as hard as I want it to be and my energy levels have sky rocketed since I began a month ago.

One of my other down falls is the chocolate chip cookies at the deli next door to my work. I used to go and grab a sandwich for lunch and for dessert one of those cookies would come along with me, but I have edited them out of my universe and those tempting morsels stay on the shelf for someone else to consume. I have replaced my cookie with a piece of fruit and that takes away my sweet tooth just fine.

I also have began using skim milk or 1 % instead of cream in my coffee. I don’t really mind as long as I don’t have to give up my Joe I will do just fine. After you get used to the taste you will be fine too. There is a difference but not to an extreme.

Another thing I have been doing is eating tons of fruit. I love fruit and vegetables anyways so this just takes the place of cookies, ice cream and candy bars. I get the sweet from the fruit and my caloric intake is much less and it is good for me. Those 100 calorie snacks are also a good afternoon snack for me. Around 3 o’clock every day I need to nibble on something and I have filled a drawer at work with these types of snacks. They taste yummy and if you eat them slowly enjoying the flavor they are more than enough to get me to dinner time.

All the little things you do to decrease your calorie intake will have an impact on your weight loss success. In the month since I began I have lost 10 pounds. It is a start and to be honest I don’t feel deprived from eating foods. There is a wonderful variety of fruits and vegetables and snack packs and such. It is important not to feel deprived. If you decide you really want that cookie or an ice cream cone then have it.

I also have started using less oil and butter. I do use olive oil a bit when I am cooking but butter I also edited from my universe. I never ate that much of either anyways, but now it is much less. I do reward myself though once a week with thise wonderful french fries!

For loosing weight to become a reality you don’t have to exercise for an hour a day and eat like a mouse. You just need to be a bit careful at what you put in your mouth. If you think about what you are going to eat first I guarantee you will make a good choice.

Don’t be afraid to reward yourself once in awhile though. If you want that cake that is calling your name then instead of having a full piece have 1/2 and share the rest with your hubby or son or daughter. It all adds up in the end thats for sure. I don’t buy sweets like I used to either. If it is in the house then I will hear it calling my name and if it is not there then I can have a reward later in the week.

Look at it like this if you lower your calorie intake by 300 calories and exercise for about 20 minutes a day you will be cutting your caloric intake by 2100 calories a week plus burning more calories with your exercise. All of this will add up to a smaller more energetic you. Good luck!

  1. I agree diet plays an important factor here. But besides this is to control our desire to eat. That means one eats when it’s necessary to eat, but not eat when it’s not necessary to eat. Thanks and liked it.
