Take Better Care of Yourself
You are worth it.
Somehow you get off track. You start out good, working out, then you just stop. Why is good health so hard to maintain? We have to get to the point where we feel we are worth it. Everyone knows good health is not easy to achieve. We all know it takes a lot of hard work. We will work hard at our careers, while our health just falls apart. This is just wrong. We must learn to not over worry about our exercise plans and the foods we eat. We must just enjoy the process of working toward a new you.
When working out, don’t over do it. You will burn out. Just take your time and pace yourself. If your body gets burnt out, take a day off and then get back on track the next day. When you don’t feel like working out, just remind yourself that you are worth it, and what you do today will pay off tomorrow.
Allow a day for treats or rewards. This will give you something to work toward. If you don’t feel you are worth a good, healthy life, you won’t work toward it. Don’t think about every part of your day. Just take it step by step. You can do it. You have to learn to stay motivated even when no one else is motivating you. You must learn to become mentally strong. It is all a mind game. The term ” mind over matter” is so true. If your mind can get made up to change your lifestyle, the rest of you must follow.
Even in the morning, when your body is telling you to sleep in, focus on what your mind is saying to you. Think of how you want to look, feel, and what clothes you want to wear by the summer. Tell yourself that you want to wear a pair of kapris or shorts that you haven’t worn in the past few years. This will motivate you to get out of that bed. Tell yourself that you are going to work out for three days straight and then rest the fourth day. This will motivate you to not worry about having time for rest. You have to overcome the excuses. No more excuses. It is time for a better you. Not just on today, but everyday.
