If you turn to small snacks such as weight loss strategy, recent research suggests that the later is the right time. A study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association found that people who followed a diet and luncheon in the mornings lost 7% of its total weight during the course of a year. Those luncheon after lunch instead lost 11%.

The researchers concluded that as there is less time between breakfast and lunch, picnicking in the morning might be doing it out of habit rather than hunger. As these also snack in the afternoon, the opportunities to consume more unnecessary calories are higher.
