The Secret To Keeping Fit

How people can realistically get the body they want.

There is a secret about losing weight and keeping it off and it does not happen by thinking about diets. First of all the idea of a diet means that your body is going to give you feedback that will likely differ from the goal of the diet. Classical diets have never worked for long. So the person will probably follow the new regimen for a bit and then stop because he is working against himself. If that person instead says to himself that he is going to eat another way, which will improve his figure, then the outlook will be more positive. If the person also sees how great he is in keeping to a plan of eating healthier food, then he will be more focused on doing so. Similarly if the person concentrates less on being overweight and more on what he would look like and how he would feel in a new set of clothes having lost weight, then he is more likely to keep the weight off.

So many people end up keeping their weight or even putting more on because they do not like themselves and they have to if they are going to be happy making a change that they will enjoy. Some people punish themselves unconsciously by thinking little of themselves and that has to stop. Keeping weight off would be something that many people would love but they get side tracked because they say to themselves they want to be thinner but still want to eat greasy foods. You can still eat foods containing saturated fats but as long as that is in moderation and you set a goal about being happy without eating unhealthy food regularly, then you have something to look forward to.

One also has to concentrate on being satisfied with the small things in life first before challenging the bigger goals, like having a good complexion. Then the person has to work from that to reach the goal they set for a healthier, fit body. If it is a woman who wants to fit in a dress that is two sizes smaller, she has to start with saying to herself she is ready for that and that she wants to get to a smaller size and stay there in long run. All this has to be done without starving the body for needed nutrients and without punishing the body with unneeded exercise if the person already knows that she is burning enough calories. One can even create a scrapbook of where you would like to go once the extra weight is off and that too will give you what to look for once you have that new body you dreamt about.
