Weight: Fact or Fiction?

When we talk about fat and weight? what are we talking about? Hop in and find what is weight all about.

As far as it concerns, weight has been a matter of debate for humanity since human life on earth began. The human body is not used to sedentary life, and this condition is not casual, life on earth has been primarily nomad, the body is full of mechanisms that allow the human being to survive in a planet full of dangerous situations. The body can react in milisecs and infuse an amount of adrenaline in the vascular system that allows you to hide and seek, escape, or fight. As humanity develops, these mechanisms have become useless and even hostile to our own body.

So we could start asking ourselves: What is fat? Fat is tissue from the body that is usually full of adipocites, relatively big cells that contain vacuoles in which they keep fatty acids and triglycerides. Fat is also a ENDOCRIN GLAND, it has the capacity to transform hormones such as DHEA and testosterone into estrogens like estrone. This, is very important, since women who get very thin not noly have malnutrition syndromes, but endocrin problems, which is visible in anorexic women, that tend to be sterile and amenorreic.

Fatty acids are brought to lipid cells by LDL and VLDL particles. These proteins are secreted from the liver, and also transport cholesterol, substrate necesary for making pregnenolone and derivates like progesterone, testosterone, estrogens,etc. Another reason to say: Hey! Try not to mess up with nutrition, because insufficient PROTEIC diets will keep liver from producing LDL and VLDL, generating poor cholesterol flow to endocrine glands, and lowering your overall hormonal levels.

A couple of years ago, some hormones were found that claim to control appetite, this is still in discussion, they are called adiponectins and well, they could be implicated in the manufacture of new farmacological drugs that could moderate appetite. But this is still in discussion.

If you do not eat well, then do not smoke! Smoke metabolites tend to increase neuropeptid Y on brain stem, specially at te hypothalamus lowering your appetite. This could be even worse if you are irregular with meals.

After this short physiological explanation of some basic mechanisms involved in the fat deposition, I would tell to all the girls: Free yourselves! Do not flagelate yourselves with the food!, Just eat what you want!, Things are bad when they become excesses, do not excess with the food, but eat! Boys will love you better! It is not personal opinion, but public! Anyone would prefer a woman that looks happy and healthy than a woman who keeps being tired and weak! This same advice goes also to men.
