Tired of looking fat ugly? How to reduce weight effectively, cheap, safe and fun. How I did it?

Healthy life style

The year was 1996, prior to my marriage. I was 68 Kg and height 175 cm. I was active. I like my life and my job as an aircraft engineer was great and working on the floor just good enough to make me stay fit. I play soccer actively and outdoor activities were my passion. I feel lucky I was not in “fat people” category. I ate so much but just because of the lifestyle I was in not only I can keep fit but healthy fit.

Effect of lifestyle change

1996 March, got married. I got a promotion, work in office most of the time. September 1996, I realized my body starts a weight gain. I was already 89Kg! “Ok, it is still ok even though my shirts and trousers are getting tight” and I started to look fat ugly. People say that, when you are married you feel happy because somebody taking care of your food and your life is complete. Plus the promotion I was really happy. I started eating so much and work less. Complacent with my easy life I ignore the importance of keeping healthy fit. This easy life is damaging. The result, fat weight, fat calories increase drastically. By the end of 1996 I was already 92kg! Within 8 months I gain 24kg. At this moment, I feel tired easily even during window shopping in Mall with my family. With a child to take care plus other routine job as man of the family, I became busier and practically no time for exercise fit, training fit and healthy fit. Promotion does not come with relaxation but responsibility, which means more burdens. By then I was a FAT MAN. I was already in FAT PEOPLE category n over weight.

And it is getting worse

My life become busier and continues with my lifestyle. Ok, to cut it short, by the year 2005 my weight gain has reached 115kg! It is almost double my weight before marriage. I have to change the whole wardrobe content. Ok at this point of time I hardly enjoy outdoor activities let alone soccer. Walking was very painful and I could not stand for a long time. I was not in healthy fit anymore. I am looking fat ugly. Due to obese condition I need a healthy diet plan for losing weight. I became very lazy and I even hate myself and my look until at one point I hate fat man image in the mirror and taking photo of my self. I thought having a good diet plan is enough. But NO. I still need exercise to be healthy fit.

The turning point

Jun 2005, I had a problem, insomnia, high blood press, short breath and vertigo. Hospitalized for 3 times in a month, this was the turning point to “the fight back for my life” begins. Sitting on a wheel chair I look at my self in a mirror at the hospital, terrorized with my “fat people” looks, I cannot recognize myself anymore. Simple doctor advice to me was, “You are not overweight, you are OBESE, no other option for you, change your ATTITUDE and LIFE STYLE” before it kills you. Since then, I was on healthy eating diet, healthy food diet to initiate reducing fat plan.

Ok, I have to do it, FAST before it is too late. There are many advertisements on TV, Abdomeniser, Abshaper, FAT Burner, fat burner cream, slimming tea, pills and etc. You name it, everything I had try. It all ends in the store or in the rubbish bin. I was so disappointed. I still had a problem to reduce my high blood pressure. Ok that’s it I am going to die FAT. None of the above works. What is wrong with its. The answer is, what is wrong with me. There are NO short ways to get slimmed and healthy fit. What is the ideal method for an obese man like myself. I cannot walk and run! The problem with all these method they only advertise how the “things” work for their “Perfect Model” but most of the time does not consider advising healthy diet and other ways. That is normal in advertising world. Main thing is they can sell. Sell and forget and you figure it out yourself. Reducing weight is not easy task for an obese man.

Healthy diet and the exercise. Not so special.

I found out the best way to reduce my weight and it is cheap, effective safe and fun. 2 methods I tried, Swimming and Bicycling. Why? Because both of the methods do not cause major impact that will severely hurt your joints. That is the “turning off” effect that will kill your desire to get slim and fit. Another best thing is you use your own bodyweight during the swimming and cycling. Loosing weight is at an instant once I start cycling and swimming. Cycling is my choice due you are using the biggest muscle in your body, your thigh and lower legs. When you used this muscle blood flows to this part to provide oxygen and utilized the energy and burn fats. Believe me it works, and if you do it regularly it works very fast. This fat man enjoys both of it. To get extra booster to reducing weight fast you can start watching your diet. Healthy diet ok. Not starving to death. Just reduce your intake. I started by reducing intake to ¾, ½, and lastly ¼ portion of my normal intake. Believe me, ¼, portion is still a lot compared to my normal over the limit intake. Better still, a good formula to follow is only eats when you are hungry not because it is time to eat and eat healthily. Biologically your body needs certain amount of food as fuel to be burn and produce energy. If you do not do extra work this unburned fuel will turn to FAT. Just think about a car as comparison, When you refuel the gas tank of the car, same like you eating. Say you fill it up to full. Of course these extra weights of the fuel increase the car’s weight. After certain mileage the fuel is converted to energy so the fuel will be used up meanings reducing the overall weight of the car. More mileage the car do, or same like more work you do more fuel utilized and more weight reduced. Imagine with fully loaded car, same like obese man I use to be, more fuel consumption, the quicker the fuel burn thus the faster weight will be reduced. But car is a machine. We human, unused food or fuel will turn to FAT. It is simple mathematics.

The results

Since doing the above activities with good and quality healthy diet I manage to reduce my weight to 84kg since FEB 2005 till now. I enjoy my life more now and value it. I believe this is the best achievement I have done. I manage to keep fit, a healthy fit. I am still on the way to get back my previous healthy life. I have started playing soccer and I have got third places in cycling adventure race. I beat younger people during this race. Did I mention I requested to work on the floor again?

My advise, there are so many ways to reduce weight, do it natural way is the best. God creates human body and its organ to develop naturally. If it bloated exceed normal we should reduce weight naturally. FAT, OVERWEIGHT, OBESE known to be causing health problem. Isn’t it sad to here one man dies of over eating and not the other ways. Think about it. Not only u caused problems for yourself but other people will involve too because of you. So change your ATTITUDE and LIFESTYLE to reduce weight and maintain healthy fit. We only live once. Why wasting it by damaging your god given body and mind.
