What is a Negative Calorie Food?
No food is void of calories and so the word ‘Negative Calorie Food’ could sound misleading. Some scientists say that some foods are harder for the body to digest and in the process, the body sheds more calories. The more of such foods we eat, the more we tend to burn calories.

To put it clearer, consider the following facts:
1. A piece of cake containing about 300 calories is consumed, the body may spend around 120 calories in digesting it and the rest 180 calories is retained in the body.
2. Whereas, a 25 calories of Broccoli requires about 80 calories for digestion, thus burning 55 more calories that the body has stored in excess.
So consumption of such foods is said to result in natural weight loss without starving.
