Weight Loss Blog: 28/5

Right back to it.

So, today is the beginning of a new week once again, and I have decided that I am now not going to stop until I have managed to lose the final twelve pounds that I am aiming to. It is very important to me that I am able to hit this goal by my deadline, as it is something that I have worked towards for the past year and a half, so I know that I am going to do everything within my power to make sure that I am able to get there.

I have started by increasing the amount of exercise that I do. I did an hour on my exercise bike, four minutes of high intensity step ups, a seven minute walk, and three sets of lifts on my bar. I am proud of this, but I know that I would like to do even more after my dinner, as this would mean that I could burn even more calories for the day which would give me a much better total towards the end of the week. If I did everything the same as I have today for every other day for the next few weeks, I would almost certainly be able to lose the weight for my deadline. It’s going to be quite difficult to keep up with it, so I am going to need everyone to be as supportive as they possibly can. 

Swimming is something that I have been determined to do for a long time now, and I have been given even more motivation now that the weather is nice. I would love to be able to just go swimming for an hour, as it would burn a lot of calories and would help to tone up my body which is something that I really need to do. I have been focussing on just my diet control far too much over the course of this journey, and that means that while I am not fat as such, I am also certainly not toned enough to be able to wear a bikini on the beach. 

I am having to be careful with the amount of food that I am eating as well, as it is far too easy just to add another snack without thinking about what it’s going to do to your overall diet. When I am at home, my Dad always cooks, and he is always adding things like cheese without telling me that he is doing so, which means that there might be a lot more calories in it than I originally thought. I also want to get into the habit of going out for a walk in the evening as well as just during the course of the day; because the weather is a lot cooler then, and there is no reason at all that I shouldn’t be going for a walk just because it is the evening. I could burn another couple of hundred calories by doing that, so I certainly think that it is something that would be worth considering. Either way, I know that I am now geared up and ready to get the rest of this weight gone for good.
