Learn ways to lose weight that require little effort.
If you want to lose weight, it is important to pay attention to what you eat and how much of it you consume. Of course, that is easier said than done. But, there are few simple things you can do to give yourself an edge.
If you are a person who eats because of stress or anxiety or as a way to somehow feel in control, give deep breathing a try. Make a habit of setting aside five or ten minutes a day to relax. Set a timer. Sit in a quiet, comfortable place. Breathe in deeply through your nose, then out through your mouth. Count to ten each time you inhale or exhale. Concentrate on drawing in very deep breaths and breathing from your diaphragm. Remember: Relaxed bodies lose weight faster and more easily than tensed stressed ones.
Put a picture of an ideal you on your refrigerator. It can be a picture of you when you were at your ideal weight or a picture of someone the size and shape you want to be. Imagine yourself in the shape you want to be and the body will slowly conform itself to that ideal.
If you must cook with oil, use coconut oil. It is available at many grocery stores, pharmacies and health food stores. Consuming a little coconut oil every day can help you lose weight.
Add some spice to your diet. Spicy foods speed up your metabolism and help you burn more calories.
Tale time to enjoy your food. Eat slowly and chew thoroughly. This helps your brain to know that your body has eaten and it is satisfied. Wait, at least, fifteen minutes after a meal before you decide if you are interested in dessert.
Have two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water once per day. It is a natural appetite suppressant, it increases your metabolism and helps reduce water retention. It has a host of other health benefits, too.
Choose any of these ideas that you want to try and discard the rest. An important component of weight loss is to make choices that make you happy.
