These small changes should also apply to your diet as well as exercise. Swapping your normal food produce to lower fat versions can make the world of difference. However, making these changes all at once can be a rather big shock to the system, so aim to change three or four things every time you go shopping for food. You are more likely to keep to the changes once you have made them and the changes will be much easier to swallow, as such.

If you are calories counting, you will find that writing down the amount of food that you eat will help you to keep a track of exactly what you are ingesting. With this, you can then see the foods that contain the most calories and you can try to cut down on these. It has also been proven that those writing down the amount of food and exercise they have on a daily basis tend to lose more weight than those who don’t.

One last thing to mention for those who are looking to lose weight is to tell people that you are trying to lose weight. There is nothing worse than someone trying to tempt you with a large slab of chocolate cake while you are trying to be on your best behaviour!
