Summertime is here! This would be the perfect time to shed some pounds. I have some tips that I would like to share with you to guide you with your weight loss.
Donate your “fat” clothes
When you lose weight, you should get rid of the clothes you were wearing when you were heavier. Doing this will help motivate you and keep you from being that size again. You can always give your clothes to the Salvation Army or you can recycle them. Someone could always use your old clothes. In addition to looking better, you can feel better because you donated your clothes to someone in need.
Keep a journal
While you’re dieting, you should keep a food journal. This means you should try to write down the things that you eat in order to keep track of the calories and fat that you take in a day. I try to keep track of the foods I eat in a notebook. You could buy a cheap notebook and keep track of what you eat. You could also keep track of your workouts in your journal. You could write what you did and for how many minutes.
Consider dieting with a buddy
Dieting with a friend or relative might make it easier to stick with a diet or weight loss program. It’s always a comfort to know that you are not going through weight loss alone. When you are dieting alone, it’s easy to fall off the dieting wagon. Having a buddy dieting with you may make it easier to stay motivated to lose weight.
Slow eating
Try to put your fork down between every two bites and sip water during your meals. Eating slower forces you to concentrate on the food that you are eating. Drinking water will help you feel fuller while eating.
Drink one or two glasses of water before meals
Try to drink one or two glasses of water 10 minutes before you eat. This will help you meet your daily fluid quota as well as curb your appetite. I try to drink a bottle that holds at least two cups of water before I eat.
Repackage snacks
Put your snacks in ziplock bags so they will be the right serving size when you’re ready to eat them. You can also get snacks that are portion-controlled. Some things that you can get are Tootsie Pops, mini bags of microwave popcorn, or 100-calorie snacks. Remember to eat one serving. I like to eat the 100-calorie snacks.
Be patient
If you slip up while losing weight, be understanding with your mistakes. We all mess up every now and again so don’t beat yourself up. We didn’t gain weight overnight so we won’t lose it overnight either. It takes time and patience to lose weight. We have to get back on the saddle and try again.
Get enough sleep
When you get enough sleep, you’ll be clear-headed enough to make wise food choices. You should try to get six to eight hours of sleep a day. The less sleep you get, the more likely you are to overeat.
I hope these tips will help you with your weight loss program.

Some of your tips I’ve been doing quite effectively as I lose enough weight now, lol. However just lately as I tried seeing myself in a mirror, I miss seeing myself a bit chubby hehehe. Now I wanted to regain my weight.
