Remember that the food what you eat, will be directly fed to your baby inside your stomach. It is natural for a pregnant woman to feel like eating more because apart from satisfying your hunger you also need to feed the baby with the same amount of food which you take. Therefore it is always advisable to take high protein and well balanced diet to avoid any further difficulties during pregnancy.

Most important thing to remember during pregnancy is eating food in a timely manner without any miss especially the breakfast which is very much required for the body during pregnancy, because it is obvious that the baby will be certainly waiting for this meal since he or she is awake during the night, while you were sleeping. Don’t leave your stomach with hunger for a long time; it probably might be harmful to your body. Always remember there is baby inside who is waiting for food. Act as per your body’s requirement.

It is important to get enough food with high quantity of proteins, calcium etc day in and day out. The best example for rich quality of vitamin is dairy products, therefore consumption of dairy products (which not only includes milk but yogurt and cheese  as well ) will help the baby grow healthy .This food gives you high amount of vitamins and calcium which helps the baby’s bones to develop strongly.

Make sure that you take good quantity of vegetables and fruits during pregnancy. Try and prepare a meal plan or diet plan, follow it consistently because it is a critical period and taking care of yourself is utmost important. Regular intake of sweet potatoes, other vegetables with a low glycemic index will help your blood sugar levels in balance. Also rich amount of minerals, fibers and folic acid is required. Be cautious at what you are eating because it makes a lot of difference to your body. Outside food and junk food should be avoided. Eating right amount of food at right time makes you feel active and energetic.

Though eating healthy food in a timely manner is required for pregnant woman but it is advisable to avoid some foods during pregnancy. For example – unpasteurized (brie) some types of fish which tends to have concentration of mercury (for example swordfish, shark etc…).Processed and canned fish should also be avoided. Intake of undercooked meat products (lunch meats), caffeine (sodas, chocolates) should be stopped during that period. It will be a little difficult to come out of routine and stop consuming certain things which you used to have regularly however you will have to follow this diet for the benefit of you baby. Raw eggs also will be included in those items which pregnant woman‘s should not consume. At some point of time you will start observing that your body automatically stops taking such food which was not a problem earlier. All you need to remember is intake of unhealthy food would affect your body as well your baby’s.

It is always advisable to prescribe a doctor to plan a healthy diet and a list of food items which should be avoided.

Never forget to take high amount of fluids which is very much necessary for the body during pregnancy. Consumption of water and fruit juices is essential. One you start making a habit of consuming healthy and well balanced diet it will certainly continue even after you deliver the baby.
