The various stages of pregnancy and ways in which males can help their partners as well as staying out of the dog house.

You’ve taken your test and found your pregnant, now what do you do?  Here is a list of things you need to do to make sure you and your baby stay healthy.

Visit the doctor and have them check you out.  They will check to confirm you are pregnant and run tests to make sure your body is at a healthy level

Eat healthy foods.  It is important to keep your body healthy and regular so make sure you stock up on plenty of fruit and vegetables, meat (you will need lots of iron), and general wholesome foods.  Drink plenty of water to keep your fluids up.

Exercise.  Regular exercise helps sustain your body, gives you extra strength during the pregnancy and increases your energy levels.  Swimming is a great way to exercise as it is low-impact and works the whole body.

Rest.  This will be a key for you.  You need to ensure you are getting adequate sleep at night and also during the day.

This list is by no means the be all and end all of things to do during pregnancy but this is what I have found to work during my wife’s pregnancies with our three children.  Every pregnancy is different.  Some women have no cravings, health issues or problems at all while others get major problems and complications.  If you are pregnant or have concerns please consult your doctor and follow his advice.
